Hilton Celebrity Poker Tournament Robin Leach was the MC for the event and I was the TD. The Celebrity Poker Tournament took place during the National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas, bringing together stars form Country music and Rodeo to Raise money for Charity. The Small Town Poker Tour travels the world raising funds and awareness for charity. The STPT was founded on the basis of having caring poker players, sports stars, and celebrities from all crafts come together to create world class poker events for charity, the only 100% Charity Poker Tour in the world.
Since the STPT launch in 2004 tournaments have been held for the United Way, Lions Club International , Boys and Girls Club of America and many more. The STPT is also a sponsor of major charity tournaments ,such as" Vince Neils of the Strip Poker Tournament", which raises money for the Skylar Neil Foundation for pediatric cancer research .The STPT has held many tournaments in the New Orleans area since Katrina. Hong Kong Poker House Grand Opening and Charity Event

I headed off to China to check out the grand opening of the Hong Kong Poker House and play in one of the first charity poker events ever held in China.

Charitable Poker in the USA is almost like online poker......legal or not it's a win for Charities.

I started off 2007 with the hopes of raising as much money and awareness for charity as possible. The events I did around the country were very successful but unfortunately legislation in many of our states does not allow Charity Poker. I had to turn down many worthy charities because of the fear of having the event shut down or worse getting arrested.
